Housing Resources

Dakota County CDA

As Apple Valley’s housing stock ages, the city is interested in providing resources for homeowners to keep their homes in top condition. Housing assistance and improvement programs are coordinated for the City of Apple Valley by the Dakota County Community Development Agency (CDA).

The Dakota County CDA provides services and information relating to first-time homebuyer loans, down payment assistance, rental housing vouchers, senior housing, workforce housing, home rehabilitation, foreclosure assistance, and other programs. For further information regarding these programs, please contact the Dakota County Community Development Agency or call (651) 675-4400.

Residential Rental Registration Program
The rental registration ordinance requires the owners of any residential rental property to register with the city. View more information on residential rental registration.
