Finance Department

Responsibilities
The Finance Department provides financial support services to the entire city government organization.
  • It provides for the fiscal management and processing of all accounting transactions for all funds of the city. This includes the daily financial operations of processing accounts payable, accounts receivable, utility billing, and risk management.
  • The department manages the collection of revenues and investment of funds, assists in the issuance of bonds and other indebtedness of the city, and prepares periodic and annual financial and budget reports.
  • The department coordinates the city's budget compilation and development, manages the administration of special assessments, and provides assistance with the five-year capital improvement program as well as the tax increment financing plan.
