The City will be installing a raingarden on the south end of the parking lot at Lac Lavon park located at 15610 Highview Drive. The raingarden will be a planted depression that will help treat stormwater runoff generated from the parking lot, provide plantings for pollinators, and will serve as a demonstration project to inspire park visitors. A $40,000 grant was obtained for the project through Watershed Based Implementation Funds, a derivative of the Clean Water Land and Legacy amendment. Project schedule is set to occur this summer.
