[ARCHIVED] Fall Clean-up Event this Saturday, September 27th!

Do you have items for disposal accumulating around the house, garage, or yard? Visit the Fall Clean-up this Saturday, September 27th from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Apple Valley Family Aquatic Center at 14421 Johnny Cake Ridge Road.

Do you have items for disposal accumulating around the house, garage, or yard? Visit the Fall Clean-up this Saturday, September 27th from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Apple Valley Family Aquatic Center at 14421 Johnny Cake Ridge Road.

Various items will be accepted for a small fee including: tires, scrap metal, mattresses and box springs, furniture, carpet and padding, home remodeling debris, and miscellaneous items by the truck load. Electronics will be accepted for free at the Dakota County Household Hazardous Waste Drop-off day from 9 am to 2 pm Saturday, September 27th. Appliances will be accepted for free at the Fall Clean-up Site. Accepted appliances include: freezers, dryers, refrigerators, washers, furnaces, garbage disposals, dishwashers, water heaters, stoves, trash compactors, air conditioners, microwaves, dehumidifiers, heat pumps. Patrons must provide proof of Apple Valley residency. Cash and checks are will be accepted for items requiring disposal fees.

Items not accepted at the Fall Clean-up site include: yard waste (i.e. grass clippings, brush, garden waste, tree stumps or branches), hazardous waste (i.e. No Paint, Cleaners, Pesticides, Fluorescent Bulbs, Motor Oil/Filters), recyclables, business waste, electronics *(accepted for free day of the event at Dakota County Household Hazardous Waste Facility), railroad ties or treated lumber, car batteries, or prescription drugs.
