Outdoor storage and accumulation of construction materials, equipment, and other miscellaneous items provides ideal winter shelter for mice and other rodents. Avoid attracting rodents to your property and neighborhood by eliminating these conditions.
Not only can outdoor storage and accumulation of materials and equipment detract from the visual appearance of neighborhoods; it can also pose a fire hazard, and increase rodent harborage. Outdoor storage and accumulation may include but is not limited to accumulation of unused toys, car parts, household furniture or appliances, wood and other construction material, or debris. Such storage can attract rodent and pest infestation year round; but as winter approaches this effect is intensified by rodents such as mice, moles, squirrels, raccoons and the like seeking shelter from cold winter weather.
