Police advise residents to watch for and report suspicious activity.
Apple Valley residents are being advised to secure their homes and report all suspicious activity as the Apple Valley police have learned of several reports about a suspicious person in neighboring cities Savage and Burnsville. Savage Police are investigating a report where a child was awoken at night to find an unknown person in the bedroom and the screen to the bedroom had been removed. In addition a resident in the same area informed the Savage Police that a chair had been found under the window of their child’s bedroom and that the window screen had been removed.
Citizens are encouraged to lock their home’s windows and doors at all times and closely monitor children while at home, outside at play and to and from school. Remember to report any and all suspicious activity to the Apple Valley Police by calling 911.
