Galaxie

Stage 2 of the project begins September 17th which includes curb and gravel work for the additional right turn lanes being constructed along 140th Street. There will be intermittent lane closures.

As part of the construction of the Galaxie Avenue and 140th Street intersection improvements, the traffic signal system will go into a 4 flash as necessary during off-peak hours.

Stage 1 work completed Friday, September 14th which included the relocation of traffic signal poles on the northeast and southwest corners of the intersection, removal of all old signal cables from the signal system and replaced with new signal cables and controller cabinet to accommodate the additional right turn lanes and Flashing Yellow Arrows.

Stage 2 begins Monday, September 17th which includes constructing a retaining wall on the northeast quadrant, clearing and grubbing in the southwest quadrant (adjacent to Holiday) and work on the new turn lanes in the southwest quadrant.  Intermittent lane closures will be needed for this work.
