[ARCHIVED] Recent thefts from vehicles reported

On Thursday, September 5, the Apple Valley Police responded to eight calls of vehicles having been gone through overnight.

Residents on the east side of Apple Valley around 141st and 142nd St. W. reported numerous incidents of vehicles that had been gone through over night. In all cases the vehicles were parked in the driveway of the home and all vehicles were unlocked. Items reported stolen include jewelry, gift cards, loose change and cash. Additionally, two incidents of theft from vehicles were reported in the evening on September 5. Both were parked in surface parking lots in the early evening hours had windows broken out and valuables left in the vehicle taken. Please be aware of the risks involved with leaving your vehicles unsecured or with valuables in them when unattended. Please lock your vehicles and remove all valuables to avoid becoming a victim.
