On Tuesday, July 26, Apple Valley, MN residents, age 55 or older, can participate in a tour to learn about how local agencies invest in our environment. Lunch and comfortable transportation to all locations are included as part of the tour.
The cost is $5 per registrant.
First stop of the day is a presentation and tour at the Lebanon Hills Visitor Center to learn about the unique “green” facility as well as activities at the Dakota County Park.
Next the group will get a guided tour of The Recycling Zone where participants will learn about the Dakota County recycling facility, how and what it collects and how materials are recycled.
Participants will enjoy a picnic lunch at Farquar Park in Apple Valley, followed by a presentation by Apple Valley staff on the City’s lakes and wetlands.
Participants must be residents of Apple Valley, ages 55 and over. The cost is $5 per registrant.

Meet at the Hayes Senior Center at 14601 Hayes Road in Apple Valley, MN; the bus will leave promptly at 8:45 a.m.
Tour is rain or shine. Please wear walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing.
A bottle of water and a granola bar will be provided at the beginning of the tour.
